Last night I had the sweetest dream.
I dreamed that you were here with me
You looked into my eyes and softly you whispered,
"I'll be loving you now and forever."

Gently, you kissed me and took my breath away.
But all of a sudden, you began to fade.
I tried to catch you, but was not fast enough
And before I knew it, I had lost your love.

Suddenly I awoke with tears in my eyes
Because I knew you would never be mine.
Still I must keep wishing for you.
Could you ever love me as I dream you do?

Some may say this is a selfish kind of love
because yours is all I ever dream of...

I dream that your lips touch mine,
While we embrace in a love so sincere,
So pure and ideal...

Only in dreams can my love for you truly flow.
I dream, I taste, and I hold your hand 
As we stare at the moonlit sky, 
As I will it to spell out your name...

My love for you seems to spread across the heavens,
And the moon seems to light up a smile...

In the blink of an eye, we are dancing.
I don't know where we are. 
There seems to be nothing around us but our love,
But we couldn't care less.  
I don't know where the music is coming from
Or where the tune...

All I can remember is your eyes
Looking longingly into mine...  
We didn't say a word;
Not even one was exchanged....
In the blink of an eye, 
We are parting; we are drifting....

Again, not a word is said.
You can see it in my eyes - the sorrow; 
And we hug and embrace.

I dream, your lips to mine, 
And as the sun ushers me out of my bliss
Into another dreary day... 
I know it can only be the stuff of dreams - 
Our love that I keep aside
Til another lonely day is over!
